Timothy "Tim" Warren McQuary, age 69 of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Tim was born on July 4, 1948 in Bethany, Missouri, the son of Warren and Irma (McDonald) McQuary. He graduated from Centerville High School with the class of 1967. He also graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, and later attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
While living in Centerville, he worked as a nurse's aide at Mercy Medical Center, and at Centerville Specialty Care. Tim moved to Fairfield, Iowa, and was located there for 20 years. He worked at HyVee for 15 years, and also at the public library. He later returned to Centerville.
He enjoyed reading, singing, collecting items, and visiting with people. He was also a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Friends of the Drake Public Library, Appanoose County Historical Society, Appanoose County Democrats, New Hope Prayer Group, and most recently, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

Tim is survived by his sister, Pam (Jim) Oden of Exline; a sister-in-law, Geralyn McQuary of Atlanta, Georgia; seven nieces and nephews, Jamie (Jaren) Tubaugh of Centerville, Jodie (Scott) McCoy of Exline, Shawn (Holly) Oden of Exline, Justin Oden of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Shannon (Amy) McQuary of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Bailey McQuary of Nashville, Tennessee and Morgan (Matt) Williamson of New Orleans, Louisiana; thirteen great nieces and nephews; eight great-great nieces and nephews, as wells as a host of cousins and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Irma McQuary, and his brother, John McQuary.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11AM, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at theFaith United Methodist Church in Centerville, with Reverend Brody Tubaugh, Pastor Christy Ehrle and Pastor Holly Oden officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. A visitation will take place from 10-11AM, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church in Centerville.
