Elizabeth Paas, age 87, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Pasadena, California on June 28, 1931, the daughter of James Joseph and Julia (DeCourcy) Wallace. Elizabeth grew up in California, graduating from high school in Monrovia.
Elizabeth was united in marriage to Clyde Paas on February 16, 1952 in Arcadia, California. Through this union of marriage, the couple adopted two children, Jim and Cindee. The family was sealed together for time and eternity in the Los Angeles California Temple, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 17, 1965.
She lived much of her life in California, relocating to Centerville, Iowa in 1993 to be closer to her grandchildren.
A kind and generous person, Elizabeth cherished the time spent with her family, friends, and her beloved dog, Dexter.
Elizabeth was a long time, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Left to treasure her memory include: a daughter, Cindee (Bob) White of Centerville; six grandchildren, Blake (Angie) White, Anthony (Chelsea) White, Josh (Amanda) White, Garrett (Amanda) White, Andrea (Zack) Burns, and Cassandra Paas; twelve great grandchildren, Peyton, Eli, Mallory, Madelyn, Grace, Emmitt, Jane, Gus, Jadyn, Alia, Lanie, and Mark, and lifelong friends, Marlene Heard, Jody Kellog, and Joan Gerky.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde; a son, Edward James Paas; sister, Joan Wallace; and a great grandchild, Elaina White.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00PM, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Centerville.
