Eva Jean Albertson, age 81, of Moravia, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Eva Jean was born on December 5, 1936 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of George Samuel Kenton Kinney and Helen Lucile Reed-Kinney. She graduated from Ottumwa High School with the Class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Richard Albertson on December 9, 1962, at the First Christian Church in Ottumwa. From this union, two children were born, Carmaleta and Russell.
Eva Jean was employed through Mountain Bell Telephone Company. She started her career in Des Moines, and then transferred to Arizona, where she retired. Eva Jean loved being around her family. She always enjoyed baking and cooking for them. She was always up for a good story. She was also very fond of wood carving, crocheting, and playing the organ. She also loved to go camping in the RV with her family.
Eva Jean is survived by her husband, Richard Albertson of Moravia; her children, Carmaleta (Steve) Aufderheide of Eugene, Oregon, and Russell (Debbie) Ferguson of Moravia; a niece, Clarlene Lenderman of Texas; nephews, Kenton Kinney and Bobby Kinney; as well as five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenton and Helen Kinney; and a brother, Robert James Kinney.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia, with Pastor John Quincy Adams officiating. A visitation will take place on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Lange Funeral Home in Moravia, with family greeting friends from 5-7 PM.
