Harriett McDonald, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
Harriett was born on December 28, 1935 in Lucas County, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Leila (Duckworth) McDonald. She attended Chariton High School and graduated with the Class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Harold C. Robison on June 20, 1954. She was a homemaker, raising seven children.
Harriett has resided at Maple Grove Senior Living in Centerville for the past ten years, until recently, when she fell ill. Her life was defined by her faith. She enjoyed leading Bible study for the residents and showed her thoughtful caring spirit by baking individual birthday cakes for all of them. She loved to bake and cook for others.
Harriett is survived by her brother, Richard (Janet) Boozell; and she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dennis Robison, Marcia Johnson, Carolyn Wilson, Kendall (Heidi) Robison, Mary (Scott) Maier, Deborah (Ross) Pesch, and Mark Robison; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Leila McDonald; and a brother, Gail Boozell.
Graveside services will be held at 9:15AM, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Chariton City Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church, 603 West State, Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. A visitation will take place Friday, April 27, 2018 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, with family greeting friends from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to either the family of Harriett McDonald or the First Baptist Church in Centerville and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
