Jeffrey “Big” Scott, age 53, of Plano, Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Jeffrey was born on August 6, 1964 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Walter Scott Jr. and Margret (Stocker) Scott. He graduated from Moravia High School with the Class of 1983. He furthered his education at Indian Hills Community College, earning his Associate’s Degree in Machine Technology.
Jeffrey was a machinist for most of his life, including Vermeer, as well as other locations. Most recently, he was employed through C&C Machining in Centerville. He enjoyed fishing and going hunting with his beagles.
Left to honor Jeffrey’s memory are his father, Walter Scott Jr. of Centerville; his son, Randall Pugh of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Kristy (Jerry) Coatney of Mystic; a brother, Bryan (Lori) Scott of Moravia; and four nieces and nephews, Noah Coatney, Abby Coatney, Tess (Kalvin) Hill, and Cameron (Xaviera) Scott.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margret Scott.
Private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Moravia has been entrusted with caring for the Scott family. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia. A memorial has been established to the family of Jeffrey Scott, to be decided at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
