Kay Brown, age 77, of Centerville, passed away, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Golden Age Care Center.
Kay was born on October 5, 1940 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Marie (Clester) Carson. She was united in marriage to Larry Brown on February 20, 1959. From this union, two daughters were born, Brenda and Cynthia.
Kay was a special lady. She never knew a stranger, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always on the go, having coffee or lunch with the girls, looking for bargains at garage sales, and playing cards with her friends. Kay's biggest joys in life were her family. She was the best mom, grandma and great grandma anyone could have ever asked for.
Left to cherish Kay's memory are her daughters, Brenda Fulton of Centerville and Cynthia (Jim) Sulser of Centerville; her grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Flahive of Albia, Cody (Amy) Cullum of Unionville, Missouri, Tanner (Lacey) Sulser of Centerville, Brittney (Eli) Keller of Centerville, and Tatum Sulser of Centerville; great grandchildren, Hannah Flahive, Jayden Babbitt, Michalyn Cullum, Oliver Cline, Karson Cullum, Roux Sulser and Bianca Keller; seven nieces; as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Brown; her parents, Paul and Marie Carson; and a twin brother, Larry Carson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. A visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2018, at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville, with family greeting friends from 6:00-8:00 PM.
