Linda Sue (Miskimins) Hiltabidle

January 9, 1947 ~ June 21, 2019 (age 72)

Linda Sue (Miskimins) Hiltabidle, age 72 of Houston, Texas, passed away, Friday, June 21, 2019.

Linda was born on January 9, 1947 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Norma Jean (Parker) Miskimins.  She graduated from Centerville High School in 1965.  Following graduation, she continued her education at Centerville Community College.  Linda was united in marriage to Don David Hiltabidle on May 13, 1967, and to this union, three children were born, Kimberly, Don Jr., and Nathan.  Don preceded in her in death on August 8, 2010.

Linda defined selflessness throughout her lifetime.  With the ability to find good in others from “all walks of life,” she never hesitated to help people during a time of need. 

A dedicated member of the Second Baptist Church (West Campus) in Houston, Texas, Linda cherished her church family and the countless hours she spent involved in many church activities.     

Left to cherish Linda’s memory include her children, Kimberly Dean of Houston, Texas, Don (Sheba) Hiltabidle Jr. of Pensacola, Florida, and Nathan Hiltabidle of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jessica Dean of Houston, Texas, Daniel Hiltabidle of Houston, Texas, Colin Hiltabidle of Houston, Texas, Chelsea Hiltabidle of Florida, Sean Hiltabidle of Florida, Jonathan Wampler of Florida, and Robert Wampler of Houston, Texas; a great grandchild, Nicolai Wampler of Florida; her sisters, Clarissa (Charles) Morris of Mystic, Iowa, Elizabeth “Beth” (John) Owens of Exline, Iowa, and Rebecca (Gerald) Chaplin of Numa, Iowa.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Don Hiltabidle on August 8, 2010; and her parents, Harold and Norma Jean Miskimins.

Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the Clio Cemetery, Clio, Iowa, with Pastor Kay Singley officiating.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Heart Association and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.  Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com.
