Obituary

Robert (Bobby) Donald Dudenhoeffer, age 29, of Centerville, Iowa, living in Huxley, passed away Monday, October 7th.

He was born on May 2nd, 1990 in Texas, but relocated to Centerville when he was 1.  In his youth, he attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Centerville, and later graduated from Centerville High School in 2008.

Bobby was an avid outdoorsman, and loved fishing and hunting.  He frequently canoed the Mulberry River in Arkansas, along with several other rivers. He also enjoyed Frisbee golf and hanging out with his coworkers and their families.

Bobby was living in Huxley, IA, and was employed by TSI as an Underground Utility Installation Foreman.  He recently bought a house in Huxley, and was updating it, including a fence for his dogs, Kilah and Harli to run free.  Kilah and Harli were his family, and he enjoyed them immensely.  He adored them and would do anything for them.

Bobby was very fond of his house, town, and neighborhood, where he has lived since December 2018.  He would help his neighbors with snow removal, and they would leave him goodies with a nice thank you note.  Bobby really enjoyed being a Foreman at work, and had a deep appreciation for the people he worked with, and talked about them frequently.  Bobby loved having his best friend, Mason on his work crew.  Scott, Bobby’s foreman, taught him everything he knows about trenching and boring, and respected him greatly.  Bobby and his boss Aaron had big plans in the future for his career.  Haley continued to be a big part of his life, and he considered her a best friend.

Bobby’s nieces and nephews were very important to him.  He would be the first one to jump in and play, tickle, wrestle, give piggy back rides and attend their sporting events.  Bobby was loyal, fun, kind hearted, caring, giving, adventurous, hardworking, dedicated and loving.

Bobby is survived by his pups, Kilah and Harli; his parents, Rich and Annette Kane; his grandparents, Vince and Patsy Dudenhoeffer; his sisters, Sheree (Ben) Lange, Renae (Craig) Frank, Kathy (Ricky) Montaque; a brother, Jeffrey (Kristen) Kane;  several nieces and nephews, Billy, Makiah, Nate, Elliott, Aaron, Stetson, Abby, Adalie, Vincent, TJ, and Amelia; his aunts and uncles, Cindy (Matt) Allgood, Barb (Rick) Mosman, John (Eileen) Dudenhoeffer, Marty Dudenhoeffer, and Joel (Kathy) Kane; as well as many cousins who were dear to his heart, Brooke (Joe) Gaffigan, Blaine (Amanda) Allgood, Zoe (Patrick) McGee, Melanie (Diego) Perez, Ricky (Laura) Mosman, Hannah Mosman, Emma Dudenhoeffer, Ian Dudenhoeffer, Kendall Dudenhoeffer, Helen Dudenhoeffer, Jacob Dudenhoeffer, Charlotte Dudenhoeffer, Delaney (Drew) Giddens, Ryan Dudenhoeffer, Jodiie Simmons, Ryan Kane, and Tyler Kane.
