Betty Lou Pavlik, age 89, of Moulton, Iowa passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Oakwood Specialty Care in Albia.
She was born at home in Monroe County, Iowa on June 25, 1931 to Elmer and Icyl (Repp) Kellogg. Betty was united in marriage to Andrew Pavlik Jr. on December 31, 1947. The couple celebrated many years of marriage together until Andrew’s passing in 2002.
Betty worked for an extended period of time at Winans Hardware Store in Moulton. She later accepted a teacher’s aide position at the Moulton Schools, a job she held for twenty-two years until her retirement.
In her free time, Betty enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, cooking and gardening.
Betty was a past member of the Moulton United Methodist Church.
Left to honor her memory include her son, Larry (Sharon) Pavlik of Moulton, Iowa; two granddaughters, Angela (Jody) Clayworth of Centerville, Iowa and Jennifer (Jeremiah) Hambleton of Guthrie Center, Iowa; four great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Ellen Ellis of Grinnell, Iowa.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Icyl Kellogg; her husband, Andrew; an infant daughter; as well as three sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery, east of Centerville. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville, with the family greeting friends from 10-11 AM.
