Joshua John Susin, age 40, of Numa, Iowa passed away Friday, February 25, 2022.
He was born in Albia, Iowa on May 1, 1981, the son of Jerry Susin and Jenny Howard. Josh graduated from Centerville High School in 1999.
An affinity for the outdoors, Josh enjoyed fishing and rock hunting. It should also be noted that physical fitness was an important component of his lifestyle, as he thoroughly maintained a strict diet and weightlifting regiment throughout the years.
A believer in Christ, Josh was proud of the fact that he was saved and baptized in the Numa Christian Church.
Not afraid of a hard day’s work, Josh believed in always being employed and working for the things he received in life, whether it be in the field of construction or in manufacturing. Most recently, Josh was employed with Wells Vehicle Electronics in Centerville.
Left to honor his memory include his father, Jerry (Connie) Susin of Numa, Iowa; his mother, Jenny Howard of Bloomfield, Iowa; two children, Jayla Susin of Fort Madison, Iowa and Journey Howell of Las Vegas, Nevada; two siblings, Jacob Susin of Centerville, Iowa and Katrina (Cassye Sias) Susin of Centerville, Iowa; three uncles, John Anthony Susin of Numa, Iowa, Ronnie Howard of Des Moines, Iowa, and Donald Howard of Oskaloosa, Iowa; a step-father, Mickey Scott of Centerville, Iowa; a step sister, Anna Marie Scott of Centerville, Iowa; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Josh was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Neno and Lydia Susin; his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Mary Howard; his aunt, Teresa Susin; uncles, Larry Susin and Adam "Peck" Elarton; as well as several cousins and numerous other family members.
Josh’s life will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, with the family receiving friends from 4-6 PM. Private graveside services will take place in the Numa Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Josh’s name to assist the family with funeral expenses and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
