"Mikki" Martha (Head) Stufflebeem

August 14, 1965 ~ October 10, 2021 (age 56)


Mikki Stufflebeem, age 56 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mikki was born on August 14, 1965 in Brookfield, Missouri, the daughter of Wesley and Mary Ann (Jakusz) Head.  She graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1985. She furthered her education at Indian Hills Community College, and received her Associates degree in Liberal Arts and her Microcomputer Specialist degree.  In May of 1992, Mikki was united in marriage to Steven Ralph Stufflebeem, and to this union, three children were born, Nathaniel, Jesse and Jeremy.

Mikki was employed as a Jailer at the Appanoose County Law Center for many years, and was most recently employed at Owl Pharmacy for several years.

Mikki enjoyed sitting on the deck visiting with her friends and family.  She was very thankful for the people in her life.  She was fond of playing solitaire on the computer, and looked forward to the Hallmark channel during the holidays. One of Mikki’s favorite past-times was proving Steve wrong, and it wasn’t hard to do. Mikki loved her family, children, and grandchildren fiercely.  She would make the opportunity to spend time with them.

Left to cherish Mikki’s memory are her husband, Steve Stufflebeem of Centerville, Iowa;  her children, Nathaniel Aaron Stufflebeem of Centerville, Iowa, Jesse Ralph (Alesha) Stufflebeem of Hiawatha, Iowa, and Jeremy Steven (Maria) Stufflebeem of Dallas, Texas; her mother, Mary Ann (Mike) Holtman of Centerville, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Mary Stufflebeem of Centerville, Iowa; grandchildren, Alex Stufflebeem of Madill, Oklahoma, Faith Ann Stufflebeem of Moulton, Iowa, Braxton Rocha of Centerville, Iowa, Virgil Lee of Centerville, Iowa, Eloise and Gavri Stufflebeem of Hiawatha, Iowa; siblings, Vernon Head of Centerville, Iowa, Steve (Lisa) Head of Orlando, Florida, Mary (Wes) Schwering of Richland, Iowa, Tonya (Kenny) Clemens of Centerville, Iowa, Earl James (Heather) Stansberry of Centerville, Iowa, and Abigail (Jerry) Pross of Centerville, Iowa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Loretta (Larry) Stufflebeem of Centerville, Iowa, Debbie West of Corydon, Iowa, Pam Stufflebeem of Des Moines, Iowa, Missy Head of Casper, Wyoming, and Robert Stufflebeem of Manassas, Virginia; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mikki was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Head; step father, Mike “Smiley Joe” Holtman; father-in-law, Ralph Stufflebeem Junior; brother-in-law, Rodney Stufflebeem; maternal and paternal grandparents, her sister, Robyn; her brothers, Michael Paul, Jason, and David; and her nephew, Logan Schwering.    

Per Mikki’s wishes, cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00PM, Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Adam Standley and Pastor Brad Dittmer officiating.  Visitation will take place Thursday, October 14, 2021, with the family greeting friends from 1:00PM-3:00PM at the Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Steve Stufflebeem, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, C/O Stufflebeem family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
