Obituary

Sandra Sue (Veach) Ayers, age 76, of Mojave, California, formerly of Putnam County, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

She was born on October 19, 1944 to Wayne Leon & Clarice Rowena (Deierling) Veach in Kirksville, Missouri.

Sandy worked in aerospace for many years. She started as a fabricator for Lockheed, and retired from Boeing as an electrical planner on space shuttles. Sandy enjoyed reading, cooking, fishing, camping, and visiting with family and friends.  Sandy loved her family very much: husband, kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her cats.

Sandy was united in marriage to Gary L Ayers on December 20, 1978. They enjoyed many years of adventures together.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Gary Ayers; her brother, Wayne and Sue Veach; seven children: Greg and Mojgan Ayers, Paul Ayers, Garrett Ayers, Anita White, Cindy Beckwith, Edward (Jr) and Maura Allison, and Garnet and John Deere; fifteen grandchildren: Armin, Brittney, Crystal and Travis, Kyle and Emily, Anntassha, Mykesha, Sandra, Amanda, Kenmara, Irene, Serena and Melvin, Gerardo, Michael, Cassandra and Joshua and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Linda Stacy; and sister, Beverly Ann Veach.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Rose Cemetery, Putnam County, Missouri with Pastor Curtis Riley officiating.  Memorials may be made out to Gary Ayers, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, C/O Ayers family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.  Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com.
